The Position
The truck driver’s primary responsibility is to ensure that inventory is delivered to or picked up from customers in a courteous, safe, and efficient manner, while providing the highest possible level of customer service.

Key Position Details -
● Operate company-owned vehicles in a safe manner, ensuring that all traffic laws are obeyed and safety procedures are followed.
● Assist in loading and unloading of merchandise on vehicle, ensuring the load is safely distributed in the vehicle and that proper material handling practices are used.
● Obtain signatures from customers upon delivery of merchandise.
● Follow assigned delivery schedule, ensuring deliveries are made in a timely fashion.
● Demonstrate knowledge of the requirements for Department of Transportation.
● Follow proper procedures in reporting accidents in accordance with our Insurance and our Company policy.
● Inspect vehicle daily and complete the required paperwork. Maintain vehicle in neat and clean condition.
● Promptly report operating problems or maintenance needs on vehicles.
● Maintain neat personal appearance and demonstrate a courteous, service-minded attitude in dealing with customers.
● Keep warehouse manager/supervisor informed of complaints received from customers.
● The truck driver may be called upon to perform other duties as the warehouse manager/supervisor deems necessary.
● Maintain a vehicle maintenance log for each vehicle owned by the Company.
Qualifications/Experience
● Understanding of organizational procedures and operations
● Operate material handling equipment
● Operate vehicle with a standard transmission
● Write in a neat, legible fashion
● Knowledge of city and outlying delivery area
● Work with minimum supervision
● Analyze administrative details and correct routine errors
● Possess a valid driver’s license, a good driving record, and be 18 years of age (or older if required by State law)
● Possess adequate human relations and communications skills
● Effective understanding of the WISE Inventory Management System in order to execute duties specific to your responsibilities
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $43,680.00 - $54,000.00 per year
