Title: Senior Network Engineer
Location: Hybrid (20% travel to sites in Texas and Louisiana)
Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network systems.
Responsibilities:
- Architect, design, upgrade, and implement Cisco LAN and WAN.
- Develop network design and architecture documents.
- Install, configure, and maintain infrastructure components such as switches, wireless access points, routers and cabling.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues.
- Troubleshoot complex customer issues and coordinate third party vendor interaction if needed to ensure prompt and professional resolution.
- Perform peer reviews to ensure design consistency and operability once deployed.
- Identify network performance tuning issues and recommend solutions.
Required Skills:
- 10+ years of designing and implementing LAN and WAN
- 8+ years of designing, architecting, and implementing Cisco networks, both LAN and WAN
- Experience configuring multiple network protocols
- Experience with protocols MPLS, BGP, and/or OSPF
- Experience with QoS, WAN Traffic Optimization and Prioritization
- Knowledge of VPN and VRF
- Must have excellent understanding of network architecture and integration
- Experience working with SCADA or substation related is a plus
- Must have excellent oral and written communications skills
- Must be proficient in Visio diagramming and design documentation
- Cisco certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE are a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $102,837.70 - $123,847.55 per year
