QualificationsEssential Requirements:
- Educational Background: Must possess at least a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher.
- Certification: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association required upon hire.
- Licensure: Must hold an Arizona Registered Nurse license or be eligible for Compact State Registered Nurse status.
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years as a director in Surgical Services within a critical care hospital setting.
- Additional Certification: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the American Heart Association required upon hire.
Preferred Skills:
- Advanced Certification: Certification in Perioperative Nursing (CNOR) is preferred.
- Educational Advancement: A Master's degree is highly desirable.
- Experience: Preferably, 5 years in leadership roles within Surgical Services or upper management in a critical care hospital.
- Additional Skills: Moderate Sedation Certification is an added advantage.
Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Oversee and ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care by utilizing your extensive experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Team Leadership: Serve as a key resource and mentor for subordinate staff, providing guidance and support.
- Quality Improvement: Lead and participate in quality improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes.
- Problem Solving: Address and resolve issues promptly to maintain the continuity of patient care.
- Staff Education: Conduct and coordinate educational activities to ensure staff competency and compliance with hospital policies.
