SPARC Athletics is a brand new (2023) modern, air conditioned facility located in the World Golf Village area near Route 1. We are looking for instructors that desire to be part of a positive TEAM!!
Working knowledge and experience in at least one of the following areas: Coaching; Cheer, Tumbling Instructors. Demonstrated ability to teach the development of skills and proper techniques in area of specialty. Ability to motivate and effectively communicate with athletes, parents and staff. Exercises mature judgment and sound decision-making. Requires passing of a background check.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Teaches all classes and in a positive, safe, educational and fun environment.
- Instructs class, clinic or private lessons as assigned and/or qualified for.
- Assists with preparation of practices and/or routines for classes.
- Take attendance and work in the SPARC Software on our tablets
- Develops positive relationships with participants, and provides motivational support and guidance.
- Follows all SPARC Athletics guidelines and safety procedures. Completes incident and accident reports as necessary.
- Participates in staff meetings, trainings, events, reviews and meets as required.
- Organizes and puts away needed class equipment. Reports damaged equipment.
- Maintains practice area in an orderly and efficient manner.
- Trains and supervises new coaches/instructors if directed/required.
- Upholds all SPARC policies, procedures, standards and code of conduct.
- Fulfills any functions designated by the Gym Manager for the betterment of the programs and the ability of SPARC to meet its mission.
- Actively participates in membership growth.
- Work various hours and to meet schedule needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum age 18 years old.
- Must be dependable and on time
- Working knowledge in at least one of the following areas: Cheer, Tumbling.
- Willingness to learn additional areas if needed.
- Demonstrated ability to teach the development of skills and proper techniques in area of specialty.
- Ability to move mats, equipment
- Ability to spot athletes during tumbling training as qualified for.
- Ability to motivate and effectively communicate with members, parents and students.
- Exercises mature judgment and sound decision-making.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 14 – 28 per week
