Job Responsibilities:
We are seeking to fill a position for an experienced Maintenance Technician who would repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as Gas and electric furnaces, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, production machines and equipment by performing the required duties and essential functions. The Maintenance Technician II will report to the Maintenance Manager.
Job duties:
- Visually inspects and tests machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions and dismantles devices to gain access to problem areas
- Installs new or repaired parts and replaces faulty mechanical control, electrical, hydraulic, gas, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment
- Installs special functional and structural parts in devices
- Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery
- Operates cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts
- Performs routine preventative maintenance
- Repairs and maintains the physical structure of the establishment
- Follow all lockout procedures, safety rules, and OSHA requirements.
- Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
Skills and qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience working as a Maintenance Technician within manufacturing
- Ability to effectively communicate with others
- Possess basic hydraulic and electrical knowledge
- Self-motivated, Must be team-oriented, able to problem-solve and troubleshoot
- Demonstrate a commitment to safe working behaviors including lock-out, fall protection, confined space, and mobile equipment operation
- 3+ years of Industrial mechanic, maintenance, and manufacturing preferred
