Job Overview for a Traveling Steel Erector
We are seeking a skilled Ironworker to join our team. .
The ideal candidate will have experience as an Ironworker, and you will be responsible for fabricating and constructing iron and steel structures. This position offers an opportunity to work on various projects involving commercial buildings, renovations, and heavy equipment operation.
We are a nationwide company based in Kingsbury, TX completing projects across the United States. We currently have jobs in Arizona, California, Florida, Montana, Nevada, Texas, and Wyoming.
The candidates we are looking for must be willing to travel to locations such as these for the days or weeks required to complete the job.
Our job scopes include both commercial and residential projects, and our clients include work being done for nationwide chains of car washes, oil changes, and equipment rental locations.
Responsibilities:
Build and assemble iron and steel structures
- Utilize tools such as micrometers, calipers, press brake machines, and power tools
- Perform sheet metal work including layout, cutting, fitting, and welding
- Conduct FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) and Stick welding
- Rigging of heavy materials for placement
- Operate various equipment including press brake machines
- Ensure all work meets safety standards
- Main area of work we do is in Pre Engineered Metal Building
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in using micrometers, calipers, and other measuring tools
- Experience with FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) and Stick welding techniques
- Ability to operate a press brake machine for bending metal sheets
- Skilled in rigging heavy materials safely
- Competent in using power tools for cutting and shaping metal
- Ability to read blueprints
