Paramedic Emergency Room
What You Will Do in Your Role:
- You will provide supportive care to the Emergency Department patients under the direct supervision of the registered nurse or physician.
- You will perform approved procedures.
- You will take, document, and report vital signs. Reports abnormal results immediately to registered nurse.
- You will Take height and weight measurements.
- You will place ECG electrodes and attaches ECG monitor correctly and performs EKGs.
- You will assist with setting up oxygen per instructions.
What qualifications you will need:
- 1 year of prior hospital and/or EMS experience preferred. EKG and phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Consideration will be given to other types of relevant training and/or experience.
- Paramedic certification required.
- Current American Heart Association BLS Certification is required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Emergency Medical Paramedic (EMP)High School Graduate / GED
