The Regulatory Specialist is responsible for completing all regulatory documentation requests, maintaining an organized library of product documentation, and assisting with regulatory, compliance, and certain quality tasks.
Responsibilities
- Ensure regulatory documents are accurate and updated
- Maintain database and file structure of regulatory and safety documentation
- Review raw materials for compliance with applicable regulations and specifications
- Complete customer regulatory requests
- Complete supplier and customer questionnaires
- Assist in the implementation, improvement, and maintenance of various certifications and regulatory approvals
- Read, understand, and interpret regulatory information
- Author various technical documents, including SDS and regulatory disclosure statements
- Other duties and responsibilities as requested
Qualifications
- Previous experience (2+ years) in a regulatory role preferred
- Experience and understanding of the chemical industry and chemical products
- Knowledge of regulations including GHS, REACH, Prop 65, TSCA, and transportation regulations (DOT)
- Familiarity with regulatory software, ERP, SharePoint, and document management software
- PC proficient, and ability to use commonly used software to support business activities
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills
