THE ROLE
We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst and Project Manager with at least 5 years of experience to work directly with the LA County Sheriff's department as a contractor.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing strategic business analysis to drive continuous improvement and innovation within our organization, while also overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of software projects. We are seeking an effective Senior BA / PM with excellent interpersonal client-facing skills and strong stakeholders' management skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into detailed project plans, functional specifications, and user stories.
- Conduct comprehensive business analysis to identify areas for process optimization, cost reduction, and revenue enhancement within the corrections industry.
- Serve as a liaison between stakeholders, including clients, internal teams, and third-party vendors, to ensure alignment on project goals, timelines, and deliverables.
- Demonstrate analytical thinking and self-drive in problem-solving and decision-making processes.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies within the corrections sector to inform strategic decision-making and product development initiatives.
- Facilitate requirements workshops, stakeholder meetings, and status updates to communicate project progress, risks, and dependencies effectively.
- Lead the end-to-end project management lifecycle, including project planning, resource allocation, budgets, timeline management, risk assessment, and quality control.
- Provide guidance, support, and direction to ensure successful project execution and team cohesion.
- Utilize project management tools and methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, or Kanban, to drive project execution and delivery excellence.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews to evaluate project outcomes, identify lessons learned, and recommend improvements for future projects.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Senior Business Analyst in addition to Project Management experience, preferably within the corrections industry or software development sector.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and vice versa.
- Something about expertise in producing documentation for client review and sign-off.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present technical information to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex software projects from initiation to completion, delivering on time and within budget.
- Proficiency in business analysis and project management tools such as Confluence, JIRA, Microsoft Project, Salesforce, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, etc.) and/or Certified Scrum Master/Product Owner with experience managing your own Scrum team is a plus.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment is highly desirable.
- Any Sales experience a plus.
