This role involves conducting high-quality research through projects and studies using sophisticated statistical programs and studies to provide valuable insights to educators/partners. They are looking for qualified candidates with at least 3 years of experience conducting education research or a PhD who are committed to the organization s mission and able to both apply and analyze research findings effectively.

Research Associate Requirements:

M.A. in education policy, economics of education, education research, or a related field

Ph.D. or three years of work experience in education research

3+ years of experience working on research projects, including managing and analyzing data sets within education
-
Strong statistical coursework and experience

Demonstrated knowledge of education research statistical programs (e.g., SPSS, R)

Comfortable with both applied and analytical work
-
Ability to conduct focus groups in the community and present research findings
Research Associate Responsibilities:
-
Assist with federal, state, and local grant writing, evaluation, and reporting
-
Prepare research and policy-related papers, reports, and other products
-
Write, edit, and create research- and policy-related memos, briefs, and reports
-
Conduct research projects from conceptualization and data compilation through data analysis and reporting
-
Create and organize visual presentations based on data, research, and policy concepts
-
Track research studies, communicate research findings to staff, and participate in planning meetings
-
Monitor data collection efforts across projects
-
Participate in research design and instrument development discussions
-
Design research surveys and protocols for focus groups and interviews
-
Aid other research team members in data analysis
-
Represent the Research and Evaluation department at meetings as needed

Work on special research projects for the Chairman and/or CEO as needed
