Database Administrator
The pay range for this position is listed below. Our pay ranges are built to allow for candidates with various levels of skill and experience to be considered, as well as for room for growth and tenure achieved in a role over time. Typical new hire salary offers fall within the minimum to midpoint of a pay range for many candidates. Any offer extended to a candidate will be based upon their unique set of knowledge, skills, education, and experience as well as internal equity.

What You’ll Be Doing
Responsible for performing enterprise database administration and management activities in a safe, recoverable manner that ensures the optimal operation for SQL Server environments within the organization. Design, plan and implement the consolidation of SQL Server environments. Position will be based in Tustin or Sacramento.

Responsible for organizing and executing database migration and consolidation of multiple servers into a centralized server environment.

Perform on-going maintenance, performance tuning, capacity planning and management for SQL Server environments

Develop project plans/schedules for database related projects and efforts

Coordinate and implement of both version and patch upgrades for all SQL Server environments
-
Identify and initiate resolutions to user problems/concerns associated with database server software.

Establish security standards and how SQL Server environments will be accessed.

Identify, evaluate, recommend and administer performance tuning and potential service level issues for SQL Server environments both proactively and when problems occur.

Define and design logical and physical database design, which may require interviewing users and understanding their data usage requirements and needs.

Determine how SQL Server environments will be accessed and where databases will be located across the different servers. Coordinate teammembers that will have access to SQL Server environments.

Perform capacity management and planning in collaboration with development personnel, system administrators and system architects.

Establish and maintain relationships with I.S. service providers, including knowledge of best practices, policies and technical details.

Complies with regulatory compliance and assigned training requirements including but not limited to BSA regulations corresponding to their specific job duties. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary and other employment related actions

24x7 environment, on-call rotation, every 4-5 weeks for 1 week at a time
Qualifications
-
Bachelor's Degree in CS, MIS or MCDBA certification or equivalent years of experience required

5-7 years experience using SQL 2012 required
-
Credit Union, Finance or Banking systems experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong SQL and stored procedure development skills

SSIS, SSRS and PowerBI

Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence

Oracle, IBM, DB2, PostgreSQL and MySQL databases

Knowledge of current storage concepts

Knowledge and understanding of SQL Server, Oracle & DB2 configuration standards.

Understanding of Data Replication
