The Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) at Seton Hall University is seeking a dynamic leader to serve as the EOP Associate Director. The Associate Director will run the day-to-day operations of the office and serve as the point of contact for students and families. In addition to running the day-to-day operations, the Associate Director will manage 5 professional staff members and will help oversee many facets of the EOP. The successful candidate should have excellent communication skills, organizational skills, and managerial skills. We are looking for someone to come in and be a team player and contribute.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1.The EOP Associate Director will run the day to day operations of EOP. In addition to running the day to day operations, the Associate Director will manage the following EOP personnel: 3 Student Success Advisors, 1 Sr. Student Success Advisor, and the Assistant Director for EOF Recruitment.
2. In collaboration with the Sr. Student Success Advisor, the EOP Associate Director will coordinate and implement Student Success Advisor trainings which include, but may not be limited to the following: Curriculum updates, policies and procedures, Degree Works, COMPASS, and Banner.
3. In collaboration with the Assistant Director for EOF Recruitment, the Associate Director will assist in the development of the following: yearly strategy, recruitment goals, and the interview process. In addition, the Associate Director will serve as the co-chair of our EOP interview team.
4. The Associate Director will work with EOP’s Financial Aid liaison to ensure that all EOF grants have been awarded and certified in NJFAMS. In addition, the Associate Director will also monitor EOP scholars state and federal verification requirements, yearly financial eligibility review, and keep a detailed list of all discretionary scholars. The Associate Director will also ensure compliance with institutional, state and federal financial aid requirements and mandates for EOP students.
5. The Associate Director of EOP will develops and coordinates all aspects of EOP student professional development: workshops, career goals, community meetings, alumni engagement, etc…
6. In collaboration with the Assistant Dean & Director for EOF programs, the EOP Associate Director will help coordinate the the following reports: EOF Annual Report, EOF Summer Report, and the Division of Student Services Annual Report. In addition to the reports, the Associate Director will be tasked with monitoring all assessment activities for EOP.
7. The EOP Associate Director will serve as a liaison for the following campus offices: Counseling and Psychological Services, Disability Support Services, Health Services, Center for Academic Success, Card Services, Parking Services, and Financial Aid.
8. Other duties as assigned by the Director.
Required Qualifications:
1. Master’s degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Counseling, Higher Education or a related discipline.
2. Position requires a minimum of 5 years’ experience in EOF, HEOP, TRIO Programs, or any other related college-based opportunity program.
3. Please note that this position is student facing and requires the successful candidate to be on campus 5 days per week.
