We are seeking a dynamic and experienced SEO Strategist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a technical SEO guru with a deep understanding of Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google My Business, YEXT, MOZ, Page Speed Tools, Indexing Tools, and WordPress. This individual will play a key role in driving organic search visibility and optimizing website performance for our clients.
The SEO Strategist sits on the Strategy team and reports to the SVP of Growth Marketing. The SEO Strategist will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive SEO strategies that align with the business objectives of our clients. The Strategist will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including creative, marcom, and account management, to ensure the successful execution of SEO campaigns and content strategy. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and a gifted writer, able to outline, write, optimize, and enhance content for SEO best practices. This role is hands-on and the Strategist implements technical SEO best practices, performs keyword research, develops content strategists, and implements the work into our clients’ websites.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive SEO strategies to increase organic search rankings and drive targeted traffic to client websites.
- Conduct thorough website audits to identify technical SEO issues and opportunities for improvement.
- Work with the development team to optimize website content, metadata, and site architecture for maximum search visibility and user experience.
- Monitor and analyze website performance using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other relevant tools.
- Provide regular reporting on key SEO metrics, including keyword rankings, organic traffic, and conversion rates.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, algorithm updates, and best practices in SEO and analytics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between SEO efforts and overall marketing objectives.
- Present SEO performance reports and insights to clients in a clear and compelling manner, demonstrating the value of our services and providing actionable recommendations for improvement.
- Act as the primary point of contact for client inquiries related to organic search and analytics, providing timely and professional responses to their questions and concerns.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in organic search/SEO, with a focus on technical SEO and analytics.
- Experience working at an agency in a client-facing role and delivering presentations to clients.
- Proven track record of success in driving organic search growth and improving website performance.
- Expertise in Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google My Business, YEXT, MOZ, Page Speed Tools, Indexing Tools, and WordPress
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to inform strategic decision-making.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

- Experience working in the cannabis industry is a plus, but not required.
- Experience with Weedmaps, Leafly, UberEats, DoorDash, and GrubHub is a plus, but not required.
