Primary Duties
To train mental health providers on diverse treatment methodologies from a trauma informed care approach. Train mental health clinic community partners and institutions engaged in care/education of children on mental health first aid as well as the early signs and symptoms of mental illness to include traumatic events that are the precursor to symptoms. Develop course curriculum for community partners.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Instruction and management of provider and partner training curriculum

Development of curriculum for community partners and institutions to identify events and situations that constitute a traumatic event in which a MH screening would be appropriate.

Training on assessment instruments and scoring.

Develop and implement a tracking system for trainees and pre and post testing

Maintain trainer credentials, and or certifications

Attendance and participation for various staff meetings and/or
-
professional development opportunities

Exude a positive attitude and be open to ideas of innovation and collaboration

Keep Director informed of progress and problems
Qualifications:

Minimum Masters degree in Social Work, Counselling, or Psychology.

Must have three or more years’ experience teaching and or training MH providers
-
Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with providers, community partners, and institutions.

Professional integrity and a strong sense of moral and ethical standards
