**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a Patient Access Representative to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting patients during the check-in and check-out process, verifying insurance information, collecting payments, and scheduling appointments. The Patient Access Rep will ensure a positive patient experience by providing excellent customer service and efficient administrative support.
**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred
- Prior experience in a healthcare setting or customer service role is beneficial
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in using computer systems and learning new software
- Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment, and maintain attention to detail
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification is a plus
**Responsibilities:**
- Greet patients, check them in, and verify their personal and insurance information
- Schedule appointments and answer inquiries about services and procedures
- Collect co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances from patients
- Assist with insurance verification and authorization processes
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and visitors
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines
- Collaborate with medical staff and other administrative team members
- Ensure accurate and thorough documentation of patient information in the system
