SUMMARY
Maintain communication with interested parties. Accurately log in, record data on requested analysis performed. Perform, unsupervised, all testing available in laboratory. Examine analysis, troubleshoot reasons for questionable results. Properly maintain laboratory equipment, if qualified, making necessary repairs. Strict adherence to proper PPE and staying current with company safety training.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS will include the following:
· Collect and log samples, study, and perform tests in-laboratory.
· Retrieve samples and documentation off site when needed.
· After minimum training period, trainee will need to be able to successfully perform each test (as per SOP) several times under supervision. Supervisor and trainee will sign off in SOP, indicating qualification. This must be performed on all testing available in the lab. Ability to use technical equipment, unsupervised, with maximum accuracy and efficiency.
· Coordinate, prioritize and execute many tasks at once, over a prolonged period.
· Maintain accurate data and documentation and provide daily, weekly, and/or monthly reports as needed.
· Follow and ensure strict safety procedures to maintain compliance with Environmental, Safety, and Regulatory standards.
· Setting up, testing, adjusting, calibrating, and maintaining laboratory equipment such as titrators, and pH meters.
· Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs.
· Repair, and maintain all sample containers.
· Document, repair, maintenance information by maintaining daily logs and record books.
· Performs general housekeeping duties to keep work areas clean, and orderly.
· Staying up to date with Standard Operating Procedures, and Methods to maintain efficiency, accuracy of laboratory operations.
· Interpersonal skills.

· High School Diploma or equivalent.
· 18 years of age or older.
· Some industrial lab experience preferred, but not required.
· Valid driver’s license required.
· Strong attention to detail.
· Computer skills: knowledge of Microsoft Office and other relevant computer programs.
· Must have good written and verbal communication skills and be able to effectively communicate with operations staff, management, vendors, and internal support groups.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand or walk and use hands and arms to manipulate, grasp or reach.

· Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, climb stairs and ladders, kneel, stoop, sit and walk extensively.
· This position will primarily work in a climate-controlled office environment but will frequently need to work outside in all weather conditions, sometimes in precarious places.
· Must be able to wear personal protective equipment, such as flame-retardant clothing, eye protection, ear protection, steel-toed boots, hard hat, etc.
· May be called upon to work extended hours to cover shifts or provide support during non-routine activities.
