Exegistics is seeking 2 Industrial Facilities Maintenance professionals for our valued client in the Rockford, IL area.
These are both DIRECT HIRE opportunities with benefits.
Starting Pay: $32 - $39 hourly (depending on experience & skillset)
- Dependent on Experience plus $0.50 shift differential for 2nd shift
- Dependent on Experience plus $0.60 shift differential for 3rd shift
Shift/Hours:
2nd shift: This shift is an alternating / rotating work schedule outlined below
- Monday - Friday from 2:50pm - 11:00pm (for 5 weeks)
- Wednesday - Sunday from 2:50pm - 11:00pm (for 5 weeks) - Additional shift differential applies
3rd shift: Sunday - Thursday from 10:50pm - 7:20am
NOTE: Will train on 1st shift and transition to 2nd / 3rd shift once training is complete. Shift differential ONLY applies when working 2nd / 3rd shift.
WHAT YOU WILL DO as Facilities Maintenance
Understand, maintain, and operate dust collection equipment.
· You will be responsible for the inspection PMs for this equipment, filter replacement and maintenance to include the minor repair of dust collection systems.
· This includes the cleaning of dust collection equipment and associated ductwork.
· Understanding differential pressure and how to read magnetic coupling gauges is essential.
Understand, maintain, and operate air handling equipment.
· You will be responsible for the inspection PMs for this equipment, filter replacement and maintenance to include the minor repair of air handling systems.
Other duties include but not limited to:
· Maintain and repair machines, mechanical equipment, and buildings.
· Inspect and diagnose problems and figure out the best way to correct them.
· Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly.
· Assemble and set up machinery or equipment.
· Plan repair work using blueprints or diagrams.
· Do general cleaning and upkeep of buildings and properties.
· Order supplies from storeroom, research suitable replacement where items are not readily kept.
· Meet with plant personnel to estimate repairs and costs.
· Keep detailed records of your work.
Understand, maintain, and operate industrial boiler equipment.
· You will be responsible for the inspection PMs for this equipment.
Duties include but not limited to:
· Maintain the Fuel System
· Check and Clean the Water Gauge Glass
· Clean Piping and Float Chamber for Water Level Control
· Check Fuel Cutoff
· Check Safety Valves for Corrosion
· Monitor Stack Temperature Gauge Readings
· Check and Maintain the Condensate Recovery System
· Check and Maintain the Water Treatment System
· Analyze and Optimize Air-to-Fuel Ratio
· Clean the Boiler Heat Transfer Surfaces
· Minimize Heat Loss
· Keep and Review Boiler Logs
Understand and operate cogeneration equipment.
· You will be expected to operate and monitor the COGEN power system to include the gas house, turbine, and waste heat recovery boiler.
· Some maintenance and repair of this equipment is included in your job duties.
· Understand, maintain, and operate air handling equipment.
· You will be responsible for the inspection PMs for this equipment.
Duties include but not limited to:
· Clean the coils.
· Check for leaks - All coils, refrigerant lines, valves, fittings, etc.
· Check for rust in condensation pans and drains.
· Check all belts for signs of wear and cracks.
· Clear dampers of dirt accumulations.
· Make sure fan blades are free of dust buildup.
· Ensure all moving parts are free of cracks and excessive wear.
· Test fan RPM so it meets design specifications.
· Tighten Bearing collar set screws on fan shaft.
· Confirm damper actuators and linkages are operational and aligned.
· Confirm all mechanical connections and dampers are properly lubricated.
· Properly align rigid couplings
· Drain and remove any moisture from all cooling coils.
· Make sure the freeze stat is on proper temperature setting and operation.
· Vacuum the entire unit properly.
Understand, maintain, and operate chiller equipment.
· This includes ammonia chillers. You will be responsible for the inspection PMs for this equipment.
· You will be trained in site specific Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response designed to address site specific safety hazards.
· You must be able to be fitted for, wear, and maintain a full-face respirator.
· Understand, maintain, and operate industrial compressor systems.
· You will be responsible for the inspection PMs for this equipment.
Duties include but not limited to:
· Visually Inspect Air Compressor
· Check and Log Drive Motor Bearing Temps
· Check and Log Fan Motor Bearing Temps
· Inspect Coupler, Hub and Shaft Seal
· Check and Log Oil Cooler Temps
· Check and Log After Cooler Temps
· Inspect Scavenge Line Check Valve
· Check Drive Belt condition if applicable.
· Log load and unload pressure settings.
· Check moisture trap or auto drain.
· Perform an Oil Sample Analysis
· Change Oil Filter
· Blow Out Coolers
· Change Air Filter
· Change Oil/Water Separator
· Check and log ambient condition.
· Change Oil Separator O-Ring if necessary.
· Change Oil if necessary.
