We are currently searching for an Dining Room Manager to oversee all aspects of the dining room management including staff management, inventory, and exceptional guest service.
You will enjoy a typical week of about 40-45 hours, and an end time of no later than 8:30-9PM most days.
Essential Job Functions:
- Manage and coordinate daily Dining Room operations, including delegating side duties, assigning tables/sections, monitoring timing of food delivery, ensuring high quality of food being served, etc.
- Understand labor metrics and control labor costs through appropriate scheduling and monitoring of staff hours
- Administer payroll, time off, timecard approvals, etc. for the Dining Room for each bi-weekly pay period.
- Manage dining room staff, including recruiting, scheduling, motivating, training, coaching, disciplining, etc.
- Assist servers when there is a personnel shortage in the Dining Room.
- Provide feedback on Dining Room staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity.
- Train new and current Dining Room employees on proper customer service practices, food safety procedures, and sanitary regulations.
- Ensure all food safety procedures are strictly adhered to according to sanitary regulations in the Dining Room.
- Recommend and implement policies and procedures to ensure excellent service.
- Respond efficiently and accurately to guest complaints and issues.
- Ensure that guest and company expectations and standards are met at all levels as they pertain to food service.
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels for all Dining Room supplies, including linens, menus, uniforms, flatware, glassware, etc. Order supplies as necessary.
Essential Job Requirements:
Education: High School Diploma is required. Bachelor’s Degree a plus.
Experience: At least 3 years’ experience in Fine Dining restaurant management.
Required Skills: Basic Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, Outlook). Excellent communication and customer service skills. Leadership skills.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions (if any): Ability to carry up to 25 lbs. Ability to work evenings, holidays, and weekends.
