We are a manufacturing and distribution company currently looking for a Maintenance Parts Clerk. The position requires developing a relationship with suppliers-being consistent with price, quality and on time delivery. The position is responsible for ordering and keeping inventory of all parts.
Essential Job Functions
- Order parts for maintenance department by contacting vendors online or by phone (obtain price quotes).
- Prepare purchase orders.
- Receive and verify all incoming ordered parts, contact vendors of any issues with failed mechanical and electrical components.
- Pick up parts when needed.
- Monitor shipments to ensure that parts come in on time (trace shipments; follow up on undelivered parts, etc.).
- Maintain accurate inventory files and records of all parts (manually and computer based) including price list, shortages and shipments.
- Create credits for unused or incorrectly ordered parts.
- Periodic audits of inventory supplies.
- Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage area in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1 year minimum experience in a related field. • Valid Driver License and Clean DMV Record.
Skills and Knowledge
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Bilingual English/Spanish.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely to all team members.
- Basic computer skills (Word, Excel).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
