The Bilingual Multi-Systemic Therapist (MST) Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of the Contract Therapists and the support of Contract Therapist services both clinically and ethically. The MST Supervisor is responsible for directing care of clients, understanding of the daily operations and processes of Faith Works Counseling and serves as a resource for staff and Contract therapist and for providing team leadership. This role requires someone who enjoys working closely with people not just with clients, but also with other members of our team and occasionally outside agencies.
Responsibilities:
● Provides supervision of contract therapist and ensures compliance with state and federal regulations, and other ethical guidelines.
● Helps to ensure client quality of care and collaborates with contract therapist to assign clients as needed.
● Monitors counselor’s compliance with productivity requirements and develops improvement plan when requirements are not met.
● Reviews recording of Contract Therapists' session as needed to provide clinical and ethical feedback for clinician development.
● Engages in weekly, bi-monthly, or monthly supervision with supervisees.
● On-call for emergencies as needed.
● Record and maintain supervisor notes for each supervisee.
● Review and Sign Therapist documentation notes based on licensure.
● Assist in Contract Therapists' consulting with a medical doctor or other specialists concerning treatment planning or other requests.
● Assist in helping to direct supervisees in ways to implement various treatments and protocols to provide guidance and appropriately address client situations.
● Continually assess supervisee situations and provide the proper ongoing feedback for clinician development.
● Educate supervisees on systemic principles of psychotherapy.
● When required, assist supervisees, with referring clients to outside sources or agencies that can better address their specific needs.
● Conduct group supervision meeting monthly.
● Attend all mandatory meetings.
● Maintain Agency Hours (Monday-Friday 9am to 5pm)
● Be well versed in Agency Policy and Procedures
Qualifications:
- Must be fluent in Spanish.
● Working knowledge of Federal, State, and local laws, regulations, and requirements for the provision of mental health services and programs.
● Must be able to communicate verbally and written in a prompt, professional and positive manner.
● Minimum of a master’s degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field.
● Meet all necessary state licensure requirements.
● 2+ years of clinical experience, working directly with clients.
● Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to actively listen.
● Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize needs, and maintain all paperwork.
● Willingness to stay updated on new treatments, protocols, and licensure requirements within the field.
● Master’s Degree in behavioral health or related field and a minimum of 2 years clinical experience, preferably with supervisory responsibilities in an outpatient facility setting, or health or human service agency, one year of which was working directly with the behavioral health population.
● Ability to assist in creating policies and procedures based on state and federal laws.
Licenses/Certifications:
● Clinical certification with supervisor designation as required by the state in which the clinic operates if applicable.
● Independently Licensed for minimum of 2 years (LMFT preferred)
