General Summary
Develops, implements, and assesses the effectiveness of services provided to injured workers. Coordinates scheduling, treatment, communication and reporting with injured workers and local employers.
Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Functions:
- Works with providers to ensure efficient and effective scheduling, treatment, discharge and/or follow up of injured workers
- Oversees case management processes, including development of both paper based and electronic forms, policies, and procedures in cooperation with the Program Director(s) or Practice/Office Manager(s)
- Develops and maintains relationships with referral sources throughout the community
- Coordinates scheduling of appointments, communication, and documentation in the electronic medical record and processing of forms for injured workers at the various offices
- Develops and presents educational programs and training on prevention of work-related injuries.
- Monitors the satisfaction level of patients and referral sources
- Serves as liaison between medical providers and injured workers for coordination of care to expedite appropriate medical treatment and communications with worker’s compensation management team
- Maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assessment, safety, knowledge of current literature applicable to occupational health and/or worker’s compensation
- Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise
- Provides outstanding service to all customers; fosters teamwork; and practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation.
Common Expectations:
- Demonstrates a commitment to patient, visitor, and staff by: providing coordination of care, case management, and facilitates timely return to work to ensure injury/claim resolution for the injured employee.
- Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span of the assigned patient population. Assesses and interprets patient age specific data and provides appropriate, age specific treatment.

Qualifications
Minimum Education:
- High School Diploma or GED Required
Work Experience:
- 3 years Relevant experience Required
- Experience with worker's compensation, occupational medicine and/or third-party reimbursement Preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
- Ability to educate staff
- Ability to provide emotional support with compassion and respect for the individual
- Ability to provide support to the members of the care team (teamwork)
- Must possess initiative and ability to work independently
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
