Inventory Control /Administrative Clerk
A private membership club in the South Houston/Missouri City area is looking for a reliable, flexible clerk to join our team! This is a new position and a full-time, permanent role. As our facility runs a great number of events, candidates must be flexible on hours and able to work weekends if needed. Candidates must also be flexible in duties, as we are a small team and need everyone to pitch in when needed.
Duties:
The inventory control clerk will be responsible for helping management build and maintain a system for inventory purchasing/reorders, reception and processing of incoming shipments, regular inventory counts, event supplies management, and ensuring the inventory is kept organized and accessible. In addition, our new position will be responsible for setting up an electronic scanning process for tracking inventory. Other administrative duties will be assigned as they arise, helping with events, assisting the COO, etc.
Qualifications:
Flexibility is key! The position will require attention to detail and strong organizational and analytical/problem-solving skills. The candidate will need effective interpersonal skills and be able to work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently. The job will occasionally require heavy lifting of inventory items to organize and count stock. Communication skills are necessary, and the Inventory Control Clerk will report directly to the COO and Accounting Manager.
Working Conditions:
Our club is an outdoor facility. Work will mostly be performed in an office environment, in the warehouse, and in the field for outdoor events. Must be in good physical condition with the ability to lift/move (up to 50 lbs), push, pull, bend, walk, and stand for long periods of time.
