Catering and Events Coordinator
The Social Affair at The Dogwood is a boutique catering company that focuses on delicious from scratch food that is artfully presented, as well as individualized menu planning and working with local growers and purveyors.

WE DEMONSTRATE OUR PASSION FOR FOOD BY TAILORING MENUS, USING THE HIGHEST QUALITY INGREDIENTS AND METICULOUSLY STYLING EVENTS WHILE PROVIDING IMPECCABLE SERVICE.

This is a salaried position, with pay based on experience. Hours will vary based on scheduled events. Candidate must be a self-starter and problem solver that likes to get things done the right way. We offer a pleasant and positive working environment and take great pride in our work.
Responsibilites:
- Respond to inquiries + set up menu consultations with off-site potential clients
- Set up menu consultations with Dogwood booked clients 9-12 months prior to their
event
- Lead training for FOH twice a year (with Venue Manager)
- Create event notes + post for each event
- Train Event Assistants for Catering shifts
- Manage Social Media for TSA
- Work w/ Venues to ensure each event runs smoothly
- Send Pre-Event Checklist to all catering clients
- Main point person for FOH + BOH during events
- Design rental mood boards + order/schedule selected rentals
- Send out welcome + congratulations postcards
- Email photographers for galleries after event
- Arrive on time for assigned shift
- Opening shift: arrive when venue doors open for vendors + stay through cocktail hour
o This will typically be the catering coordinator's shift
- Closing shift: arrive when FOH team arrives + stay through end of the event
- Fold napkins according to client preference
- Set tables w/ flatware, napkin, and water goblet
- Prepare for kitchen team to arrive
- Help manage Front of House team
- Help lead pre-event meeting
- Ensure timeline is followed
- Help with running food + clearing tables
- Full-time poition --> Catering + Event Coordinator Lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods of
time
•Nights, weekends and holidays required
- Keep all lines of communications open with Kelly
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 60 per week
