Housekeeping Inspector - Vacation Rentals

We maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort for our guests. We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to join our Los Angeles team.
Job Description:
As a Housekeeping Inspector, you will ensure our vacation rental properties are spotless and guest-ready. You will oversee and work closely with our customer’s team of housekeepers, providing guidance and oversight to maintain the quality and cleanliness of our properties.
Working with our Operations Manager and existing inspection team, you will assist in overseeing our own growing team of housekeepers, and inspect all work completed. Responsibilities will include spot-cleaning as needed, ensuring all spaces are guest ready, and that any damage, missing items, maintenance issues are properly documented.
Please note that the first 90 days will be primarily focused on inspection work, reviewing the work of the housekeeping teams. The Housekeeping Inspector will be expected to drive from property to property as scheduled each day.
This position currently offers 15-20 hours per week with the potential for up to 40 hours per week during peak season.
Inspections are expected to take 45 minutes to 1 hour on average, and last minute assignments should be expected between the hours of 10am and 4pm.
We will ensure that you are routed correctly to maximize your earning potential.
For the right candidate, this position can become 40 hours consistently.
You will report directly to our:
- Manager of Operations as well as the
- Chief Operations Officer
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee work completed by housekeepers to maintain high standards.
- Inspect properties to ensure quality before guest arrivals.
- Assist in training and support housekeeping staff.
- Perform touch up cleans as needed.
- Manage cleaning supplies and equipment inventory.
- Professionally clean and maintain our properties using cleaning procedures and products with prescribed company standards:
- This includes sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting and wiping all surfaces as needed
- Move all reasonably portable furniture in rooms to clean behind and underneath.
- Assist with other outstanding tasks, such as laundry, as needed.
- Collect and remove trash and debris.
- Address guest complaints and resolve issues promptly.
- Maintain records of housekeeping activities.
- Use a variety of service apps via your mobile device.
- Assist with scheduling and task assignments.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Other responsibilities as assigned - every day brings unique challenges.
Qualifications:
- Ability to review work housekeeping work completed (previous housekeeping experience preferred, but not required).
- General cleaning experience.
- Reliable transportation.
- Smartphone and personal email address.
- Driving in inclement weather conditions as required.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments and under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Flexible working hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, as needed.
- Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
- Must be able to pass a background check, no exceptions.
