The Executive Functioning Coach will work closely with clients to develop strategies and skills aimed at enhancing executive functioning abilities. This role requires a deep understanding of executive functioning challenges and a commitment to empowering individuals to overcome obstacles and achieve their goals.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' executive functioning abilities, including but not limited to organization, time management, planning, prioritization, task initiation, and self-regulation.
Collaborate with clients to establish personalized goals and objectives related to improving executive functioning skills.
Develop and implement tailored coaching plans to address clients' specific needs and challenges in the community.
Provide ongoing support, guidance, and encouragement to clients as they work towards their goals, adapting coaching strategies as needed.
Utilize evidence-based interventions and techniques to enhance clients' executive functioning abilities.
Teach practical strategies and tools to improve organization, time management, planning, and other executive functioning skills.
Assist clients in developing strategies for managing stress, overcoming obstacles, and maintaining motivation.
Monitor progress and outcomes, adjusting coaching approaches as necessary to optimize results.
Collaborate with other members of the treatment team, including therapists, psychologists, and psychiatrists, to ensure coordinated care and support for clients.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of client sessions, progress, and interventions.
Qualifications:
Required: Bachelors in psychology, counseling, social work, education, or a related field.
Preferred: Enrolled in a Masters Program in psychology, counseling, social work, education, or a related field. While this is preferred, applicants with relevant coaching experience will also be considered.
Experience working with autistic adults and individuals with other neurodevelopmental disorders. This often includes co-occurring mental health disorders such as anxiety and depression.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build trust with clients.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
Empathy, patience, and a nonjudgmental approach to supporting individuals with mental health challenges.
Flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of clients and the organization.
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding ethical standards in all aspects of the role.
Proficiency in relevant technology and software applications.
