OVERVIEW:
Lead and participate in the following project phases: Initiate, Plan, Execute, Control, and Close. The Project Manager will guide the development of the overall Project Management strategy and, through consideration of departmental business needs, value to the athlete experience, requirements, cost, and timing, will develop the prioritization for implementing new business processes, systems, and tools. They will ensure the completion of projects on time, create and track against project expense plans, establish project management practices/methodologies, and develop reports to communicate project status to key stakeholders. Project Manager will leverage day-to-day Operations activities not only to ensure that projects are on time and exceeding expectations.
Facilitates and coordinates department projects
Collaborates with project sponsor and business stakeholders to define scope, analyze requirements, evaluate feasibility, and determine strategic need
Creates project proposal and defines timeframe, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing the project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases
Contributes to the design and negotiation of external contracts and manages contribution of third-party vendors
Guides development of overall Project Management strategy
Using understanding of department business needs and resource limitations, establishes and manages the overall schedule and prioritization of projects
Assists in the development of business plans, strategies and approaches to take advantage of business opportunities
Oversees technical and organizational management and financial aspects of projects
Track projects against deadlines, identify gaps/overlaps/"creep" across project work streams, explore opportunities for simplification, make recommendations to optimize Operations priorities and processes
Ensures projects are completed on time and meet requirements
When necessary, negotiates changes in project specification or scope
Creates and tracks against project financial expense plans
Presents to departmental management regarding project updates, project cycle, and expected results
Cross-Functional Stakeholders to frequently communicate project requirements, gather status updates, identify next steps, resolve issues as appropriate, and escalate problems when necessary
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree
5-7 years experience Retail and/or IT
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
Experience in Project Management
Excellent relationship-building skills across wide range of stakeholders
Microsoft Project
