We train medical professionals to become Podiatry Medical Assistants. Since we are highly specialized practice, extensive training is provided. What is needed is a desire to provide legendary patient care, excellent customer service and develop new skills. Some medical background is required through experience or schooling. This is a great opportunity for individuals that desire enhanced professional development in the health care field as our doctors and medical staff treat patients with a wide range of conditions from wounds to fractures to diabetic foot care and surgery.
Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare professionals in providing patient care
- Take and record vital signs
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
- Collect and document patient medical history and information
- Assist with procedures
- Assist with patient education and instruction
- Schedule appointments and manage patient records
- Maintain, stock, clean, and organize examination rooms
Skills:
- Proficient in medical terminology and documentation
- Knowledge of basic life support techniques
- Familiarity with coding and billing procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology
- Ability to operate X-ray equipment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
