Founded in 1995, Keystone Montessori Charter School is located on 5 acres in the suburban foothills of Phoenix, Arizona. The school is proud to serve students from ages 15 months to 15 years. The adolescent program was established in 2004 and currently has three guides in one classroom who share the responsibilities of guiding 30+ students. The environment is dynamic, fluid, ever-changing, and interesting. In addition to an academic curriculum, students participate in a micro-economy, garden, community service, team building, advisory, theater performances, and international travel.
Preference for the ideal candidate for the Adolescent program would include:
*NAMTA/AMI certified in Adolescent studies or willing to attend training
*Experience working with adolescents
*Good sense of humor, enthusiastic, outgoing, team player
*Bilingual in Spanish
*Organized and has vision and ideas for implementation
*Appreciates the outdoors and enjoys camping, hiking, and traveling
*Ability to teach; proficient in the areas of math and science
*Communicates effectively with parents, students, and staff
