Position Summary:
The Pile Driver Operator is responsible for the safe and reliable operation of driving piles to provide support for solar arrays and/or panels using Vermeer PD-10 pile driving or other leading piling machines.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following guidelines, standards, and procedures.

Adhere to all company safety and health policies.

Clearly communicate with spotters.
-
Review project plans and drawings and ensure that the project is built according to code, design and specification.

Drive piles to provide support for solar arrays/panels.
-
Operate all equipment in a safe manner and efficient working practices.

Maintain tools and equipment; perform safety checks.

Assist the Foreman in the installation of various pile types, fueling, maintenance, and greasing of pile equipment.

Clean equipment as required.

Prepare and clean up job site.

Strong teamwork orientation and collaborative work style and commitment to complete the job.

Positive attitude and professional customer service skills.

Willing and able to cross train and work in other fields of Cinterra's business.

Perform other job-related duties as assigned by your manager.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
-
Vermeer PD-10 operating experience required.
-
1-3 years of experience operating a pile driving machine for utility-scale solar projects required.
-
Knowledgeable in multiple pile installation techniques and hammer types.
-
Experienced in rigging and crane signaling is preferred.
-
Ability to move levers of hoisting equipment, position piles and hammers over pilings.
-
Ability to activate power hammers that drive poles to required depths.
-
Ability to monitor gauges, dials, and control equipment operations.
-
Ability to use levels, rules, plumb bobs framing squares, and surveying equipment to ensure materials are plumb, level, and secure.

Ability to measure height, width, length, and other proportions.

Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.

The position requires the unrestricted use of hands, arms, shoulders, upper/lower back, visual acuity, depth, and color perception.

Provide personal transportation to and from the jobsite.
Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry heavy materials, tools, and equipment (up to 50 pounds or more).

Must be able to traverse irregular and steep terrain.

Endurance to perform physical tasks throughout the workday, including bending, stooping, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.

Agility and flexibility to navigate construction sites and access work areas, including climbing ladders and scaffolding.

Must be able to position one-self to work in confined spaces such as trenches, pits, manholes, and tunnels.

Must be able to wear personal protective gear most of the day.

Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions.

Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination.
