Job Summary:
Keeping our manufacturing equipment running at peak performance is vital to our success at Hickman’s Family Farms. A Maintenance Supervisor/Mechanic will evaluate the systems of the facilities to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed. They will also assess the building’s systems to plan work assignments and project schedules. Developing maintenance planning, preparation procedures and schedules to maintain efficiencies will play an integral role for this position. The following lists are not exhaustive, and the employee is expected to assume all duties assigned by the operations manager irrespective of whether such duties are specifically included in the following:
Duties/Responsibilities:
Ensuring communication and employee engagement.
Creation of direct continuous improvement initiatives.
Meeting/exceeding performance metrics expectations based on machine and plant key performance indicator’s (KPI’s).
Manage and control the maintenance strategy on a day-to-day basis including routine special and stop period maintenance, and to develop and implement capital activities.
Support the safe and healthy work environment based on the plant’s safety action plan.
Ensuring coordination of resources based on daily operational schedule.
Identify areas for engineering and financial improvement and enable their inception whilst maintaining an appropriate level of availability and reliability of equipment.
Ensure the safe and effective introduction of new equipment, capital expenditure and process improvement technologies.
Utilize enterprise resource planning (ERP) tool to track and maintain projects.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred
2 years of Industrial Maintenance Experience
Maintenance Technician School Certification Preferred
3-5 years in supervision or operational leadership with progressive responsibilities.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
Ability to lift items that weigh up to 50 pounds at a time.
Specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus, the work environment includes exposure to moving mechanical parts and occasional risk of electrical shock.
