Herzog Transit Services, Inc. is currently looking for a Document Control Specialist in Kansas City, MO.
The successful candidate will work full time with normal weekday hours being 8am – 5pm at the streetcar project office located at 600 East 3rd Street, Kansas City, MO. Since we run a seven day/week operation, it may be necessary on occasion to work nights, weekends and special events. The position will report directly to the General Manager and provide administrative support to the entire HTSI Streetcar Team. This person will need to be highly detailed and organized. Computer proficiencies will need to be demonstrated as a minimum for the required programs listed below.
Duties and Responsibilities:

- Coordinate between HTSI and KCSA Streetcar staff
- Perform a variety of clerical duties that may include the following tasks:
- Data entry
- Record keeping
- Prepare contractual compliance reports and submittals
- Receive and process subcontractors’ invoices
- Assist with inventory control process and procurement
- Schedule meetings, conference calls and video meetings
- Procure office supplies and equipment
- Coordinate employee benefits and payroll with corporate office
- Prepare and process employee expense reports
- Monitor required contract deliverables
- Prepare PowerPoint presentations and illustrative documents
- Serve as employee liaison with corporate human resource office
- Regular and consistent engagement, participation and promotion of Herzog’s Culture and its essential behaviors are a requirement for this position.
- Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality are a requirement for this position.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED
- College degree preferred but not required
- In order to be considered for this position, candidates will need to demonstrate computer proficiencies with the below programs:
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Publisher)
- Adobe Acrobat
- InDesign
- Dropbox, Cloud based storage access
- Google Docs, Drive and Calendar
- Printers, copiers, scanners and fax machines
- Research online information for providing support to different departments
- Minor troubleshooting computer related problems
Pre-Employment Requirements:
- Subject to pre-employment background check and motor vehicle report review.
- Subject to pre-employment physical, medical evaluation, and drug screen.
- Must successfully pass color/vision examinations as required by the position.
- Successfully complete and maintain any required safety certification and testing on an annual basis.
