SALARY RANGE
The expected salary range is $55,000 to $65,000 and subject to change at any time at the discretion of the Company.
POSITION SUMMARY/OBJECTIVES
Provides support to underwriters including through customer service and processing of multiple documents.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDING

Assists in underwriting and customer service activities, such as obtaining necessary information and data from producers (i.e., agents and brokers) and others.

Supports producer activities when it comes to binding, issuing and endorsing with underwriters' guidance.

Reviews quotes, binders, policies, endorsements and other forms for consistency and accuracy.

Follows up with producers for missing information.

Issues policies, endorsements, other forms and notifications in compliance with state regulations and IFG Companies' compliance guidelines.

Achieves or exceeds IFG Companies' service standards for policy, endorsement and other form issuance and cancellations, while achieving or exceeding IFG Companies' quality standards.

Responds to internal and external client inquiries in a timely manner.

Reviews loss information and obtains necessary clarifications.

Organizes and maintains policy files in accordance with IFG Companies' guidelines.

Reviews files, records and other documents.

Develops strong working relationships with counterparts at producer offices.

Runs reports as necessary.

Performs research on issues and analyzes data.

Continues to increase underwriting knowledge and skills through formal education and training.

Other duties as required.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES INCLUDING

Basic knowledge of the underwriting process, of property and casualty coverage and policies, endorsements and other forms a plus.

Strong computer skills (e.g., Excel, Word, SharePoint) with demonstrated high accuracy output.

Strong problem solving, reasoning and decision-making skills.

Excellent interpersonal and written and oral communication and presentation skills.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/CERTIFICATIONS

Required: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent work experience in the property and casualty insurance industry.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Physical demands are considered to be that of an office environment, climate controlled, with minimal physical exertion. This position requires prolonged sitting, ability to utilize a computer and interactions with others in meetings or via phone.
