REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Knowledge of fund-raising strategies and resources
- Ability to plan, organize and implement fundraising events
- Proficient in all aspects of Social Media
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to plan, prioritize and schedule multiple tasks
- Experience with spreadsheet software and other software programs as needed.
- Establish, promote and expand public relations activities
JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Fundraising & Events Coordinator reports to the Executive Director and is responsible for the design, development and implementation of a comprehensive fundraising program focusing on individuals, corporations, foundations, and targeted special events. This individual will provide direction and oversight for a multiple fundraising programs.
Fundraising Events
- Continue with current events as established in support of the programs and services of the EPIC Foundation, Inc.
- Work with other programs on behalf of the EPIC Foundation in all aspects of running the Go The Distance For Autism event.
- Organize volunteers and committees for such events
- Develop budget for all fundraising initiatives and events
- Develop, in collaboration with the Executive Director and Foundation Board, event related materials (e.g., ad journals, invitations, etc.)
- Organize and maintain contracts related to, or required for, events
- Formally acknowledge all gifts received with signed “Thank you letters”
- Prepare and present fundraising reports on events to the Board of Trustees
- Prepare recommendations for future events based upon evaluation of events.
Board of Trustees/Parent Relations
- Work closely with the EPIC Foundation Board of Trustees and Executive Director on the development of strategic fundraising initiatives for the Foundation and provide post event reports, and pre-event updates on Fundraising Initiatives
- Community/Public Relations
- Prepare and update all written material related to the EPIC Programs
School Communication and Administrative Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Administration in creating materials for staff, students and families
- Social Media management
- Assists with the planning and coordination of hospitality events such as Back-to School Night, Parent’s Night Out, Speaker Presentations, Parent Meetings, Teacher Appreciation Week, Spirit Week, etc. as periodically hosted periodically by the EPIC.
Database Management
- Proficient, or ability to become proficient, with E-Tapestry software & OneCause
- Regularly update database
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
