Regional technical Sales Manager
Location: Weymouth, MA
Job Summary
Reporting directly to the National Sales Manager, the Regional Sales Manager plays a crucial role in driving sales efforts and managing Manufacturing Representatives within assigned geographical areas. This position supports the corporation’s strategic goals through effective sales administration and resource management.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy Execution: Maximize sales resources to support defined strategic goals and action plans, including funnel maintenance, participation in Voice of the Customer (VOC), Value Selling, and other growth initiatives.
Representative Development: Evaluate and enhance the representative workforce based on product knowledge, market penetration, and adherence to best practices. Provide guidance and foster growth within the team.
Recruitment and Training: Lead recruitment, selection, and training of independent manufacturer’s representatives as needed within the region.
Technical Training: Deliver technical training to representatives and customers, both internally and externally, utilizing MS Teams for virtual meetings as required.
Major Account Management: Develop and manage direct relationships with major accounts, including negotiating blanket contracts and partnering agreements.
Customer Service Support: Collaborate with Customer Service Associates to provide necessary support, education, and training, ensuring high levels of customer service.
Sales Activities Planning: Plan and schedule sales calls and trade seminars within the assigned region.
Marketing and Development Input: Contribute to promotions, advertising programs, and the development of products, services, sales tools, and policies.
Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regional sales forecasts, quarterly sales reviews, budgets, and other territory information. Evaluate reports, monitor competition, market trends, and field information.
Trip Reporting: Provide pre-trip and post-trip reports to the National Sales Manager.
Additional Duties: Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Travel Requirements: Must be able to travel 50% or more of actual workdays, excluding holidays and vacations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration.
- 3-5 years of technical product sales experience.
- Proficiency in general safety, Quality System Awareness, ISO9000, network drives, public folders, and Syteline training.

Pay: $108,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
