Who We Are::
Silver Regulatory Associates LLC (“Silver”) provides regulatory compliance and ESG services to investment firms. Specifically, Silver’s clients include private equity, venture capital, hedge fund and other types of investment managers, many of which are registered investment advisers with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Silver’s ESG Team assists clients with the development, enhancement and implementation of their ESG Programs.
Who You Are::
A Senior Associate reports directly to the senior members of the ESG Team and collaborates with all ESG team members to ensure that Silver’s ESG services are provided to clients consistent with the firm’s high standard of consulting.
What You'll Do::
Client Management
-
Assist ESG Team to manage multiple client deliverables on an ongoing basis; independently manage aspects of multiple client projects as a component of each final deliverable

Support ESG Team to meet client deadlines and manage client communications, including participating on and leading client calls
-
proactively review progress on client projects and demonstrate ability to complete work product in a timely manner
-
demonstrate ability to help organize and keep senior members of ESG Team on track when their additional input, support or sign off on client deliverables is required
-
Support and oversee junior members of ESG Team when working on collaborative projects, including management of junior member’s time and work priorities
-
Report to senior members of ESG Team and Silver on a routine basis
ESG Program Development and Maintenance

Support ESG Team to develop and manage each client’s ESG programs, including:
-
Demonstrate understanding of each client’s investment strategy and potential approach to ESG as part of the ESG team’s initial analysis of each client engagement
-
Independently draft ESG policy and procedures documents, and provide drafts to senior members of ESG Team for final approval
-
Develop customized ESG questionnaires and data collection tools based on each client’s unique investment strategy
-
Manage, organize and complete ESG due diligence reviews for client’s potential investments with support from senior members of ESG Team, as needed

Prepare ESG-related training materials for clients to focus on specific aspects of their ESG program, regulatory update, market trend, or other area of focus relevant to client’s team; present some or all aspects of training
ESG Reporting

Support ESG Team members in responding to ESG reporting requirements on behalf of clients, including to independently or collaboratively:

Draft client specific ESG and sustainability reports

Assist in researching and analyzing regulatory reporting requirements for U.S., E.U. and U.K.; participate in presenting findings to senior members of Silver, when relevant

Demonstrate ability to manage reporting obligations for organizations of which clients are members (e.g., PRI, GRESB, TCFD, UK Stewardship Code), and serve as lead on reporting-based engagements

Draft client responses to investor ESG due diligence questionnaires and other requests for ESG-related information

Prepare all reporting-based work product for final approval by senior members of ESG Team in a clear and consistent manner
ESG Research

Participate in Silver’s ESG research projects by participating and at times, leading internal research efforts, organizing research findings and contributing to final work product

Maintain exposure and develop ongoing expertise with standard setter organizations and industry organizations that provide widely used frameworks and scoring (e.g., Principles for Responsible Investment, Climate Action 100+, Ceres, Value Reporting Foundation, Global Reporting Initiative, TCFD, ISSB, IFRS, SASB, etc.)

Attend industry events and webinars on behalf of Silver; present key takeaways at ESG Team and Silver’s firm-wide meetings

Proactively identify areas of focus that the ESG Team may need to be familiar with as part of ongoing industry research
Contribution to ESG Team
A Senior Associate on Silver’s ESG Team is expected to:

Present ideas and information in a clear and concise manner to both the ESG Team, and Silver’s ESG clients

Demonstrate strong organizational skills, including ability to summarize takeaways from client calls and internal meetings in an effective manner

Proactively and independently respond to requests for information from clients and team members

Demonstrate ongoing understanding of ESG news, regulations, and industry trends
-
Actively pursue and demonstrate understanding of client’s regulatory obligations on its ESG program, including on its internal and external communications

Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to address client questions, and requests for information
-
Demonstrate intellectual curiosity for the intersection ESG practices and ESG-related regulations, including SEC regulations; pursue research efforts to contribute to ESG Team’s overall thought leadership
What You Bring::
Requirements

Undergraduate degree; focus on business and/or sustainability, a plus
-
Working knowledge or background in investment industry, including familiarity with general investment strategies, including private equity, real estate, private credit, and others

Acute interest in sustainability and responsible investment
-
Working knowledge of common ESG-related regulatory requirements, preferred
-
Strong working knowledge of and professional experience using MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
-
Proven ability to consolidate, manage and visually present data using MS Excel (please be prepared to demonstrate aptitude)

Proficiency in technical and professional writing

Comfort with public speaking, attending networking events and supporting or independently manage external presentations for clients or industry colleagues

Proven ability to work and problem solve independently

Strong written, editorial and verbal communication skills

Strong research and analytical skills

Ability to work in a high-performance culture and stay organized across a broad range of clients and deliverables
Differentiators:
-
Knowledge of ESG standard setters and industry bodies (e.g., PRI, SASB, GRI, GRESB, TCFD, SFDR etc.) and knowledge of common financial and ESG data/news sources is a plus

General knowledge of SEC rules and regulations preferred
What We Offer::
Salary range: $85,000-$100,000
