SyTech Corporation, a dynamic engineering services firm and government contractor in Alexandria, VA, seeks an experienced, dedicated, detail-oriented Logistics and Configuration Specialist to join our team.
This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient delivery, configuration, and installation of computer and peripheral equipment for our customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics, inventory management, and technical configuration, coupled with excellent customer service skills. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast paced environment with changing priorities and deadlines.
This is a Full-Time On-Site position. Local candidates only.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shipping/Receiving: Manage the shipping and receiving of computers and peripherals for customer orders.
- Configuration: Configure computers and peripherals according to pre-defined specifications for customer orders.
- RMA and Repairs: Handle RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) and repair tasks for malfunctioning customer equipment.
- Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and stock counts, ensuring awareness of current levels and needs.
- Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with vendors for purchasing and repair needs.
- Travel: Travel (20%) to customer locations for the physical installation of orders.
- Delivery Coordination: Coordinate the delivery of equipment to customer locations.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Purchasing: Manage purchasing to fulfill customer orders efficiently.
- Order Scheduling: Schedule orders and installations to meet customer timelines.
- Logistics Planning: Plan logistics for all orders, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Customer Contact: Serve as the primary contact for customers regarding order specifics and questions.
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ Years Proven experience in logistics, inventory management, and technical configuration.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to travel domestically up to 20% for installations.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Proficiency with inventory management systems and technical configuration tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in coordinating with vendors and managing purchasing processes.
- Familiarity with RMA processes and repair procedures.
- Background in IT or technical support roles.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
