Title: Provider Scheduler Coordinator
Base Salary Range: $50,869 - $61,635 plus benefits
FTE: Full-time, Non-Exempt

General Summary: The Provider Scheduler Coordinator plays a vital role within South Central Family Health Services and is under the supervision of the Clinic Administrator. The Provider Scheduler Coordinator will create and maintain monthly Provider schedules ensuring adequate coverage, accurate scheduling, and timely opening and closing schedules as directed by the Clinic Administrator.

Creates, maintains, and manages the Medical Providers' scheduling templates for all sites.

Manage and handle all administrative details associated with provider scheduling (i.e. update scheduling application; advise providers, clinic managers, Call Center staff, per diem agencies and other as needed.

Attends Provider Scheduling meetings.

Work closely with Clinic Administrator, COO, and CMO to resolve provider issues related to scheduling.

Receive and facilitate approval of schedule changes in accordance with policy (final approval rests with CMO, COO or delegate).

Maintain detailed records of all changes in provider scheduling

Assists Clinic Manager in duties, including, but not limited to the areas of compliance, provider insurance privileging and credentialing, insurance contracts, front office policies and procedures.

Opens schedule in a timely manner (3 months in advance).

In the event of coverage gaps, facilitate scheduling of additional providers to ensure complete coverage.

Liaise with the Clinic Managers, Call Center leadership, and other professionals to reconcile clinic needs for provider scheduling.

Develop, secure approval for, and maintain policies and procedures related to all aspects of scheduling providers
Qualifications and Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Knowledge of filing systems and medical terminology

Vocational training in Office Administration preferred

Must be able to communicate effectively, in English, both verbally and written

Demonstrates knowledge of safety, infection control & emergency policies and procedures

Bilingual and Bi-literate Spanish/English preferred

Must 2 year’s or more clinical experience as a Scheduler

Proficiency with NextGen Electronic Health Record (EHR) system

BLS / CPR preferred
