What We Need:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Management Systems Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality management systems (QMS) to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure the highest quality standards in our products and processes.
What You’ll Do:
- Contribute to the development and implementation of quality assurance policies and procedures to ensure product quality and regulatory compliance.
- Perform internal audits and quality inspections to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to ISO 9001:2015 standards.
- Work closely with engineering, production, and other departments to integrate quality standards into all stages of product development and manufacturing.
- Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends and root causes of quality issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce defects, and improve manufacturing processes.
- Prepare and present quality reports and documentation to management and stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality documentation, including procedures, work instructions, and records. Generate reports and metrics to track QMS performance.
- Provide training and support to employees on QMS processes and quality standards. Foster a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
- Manage the CAPA and NCR systems, including investigation, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and effectiveness verification, to drive continuous improvement and prevent recurrence of quality issues.
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and maintenance of an effective quality management system (QMS) in compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, standards (e.g., ISO 9001), and industry best practices.
- Assist with the initial implementation and administration of the QMS Software Suite.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in quality assurance or quality systems engineering, preferably in the defense or technology sectors.
- Extensive knowledge of quality management systems (QMS) and standards such as ISO 9001.
- Experience with quality tools and methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean, FMEA, and root cause analysis.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in quality management software and tools.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to ensuring product quality and customer satisfaction.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in developing and managing CAPA processes, conducting investigations, performing root cause analysis, and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Quality Engineering (CQE), Six Sigma Black Belt, or related certifications.
- Experience with regulatory requirements and standards specific to the defense industry.
- Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and other quality control techniques.
- Knowledge of advanced manufacturing technologies and processes.

Salary Range – $100,000 – $135,000
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
