What We're Looking For
We are a near-launch startup working to improve the lives of people suffering from Dysautonomia (e.g. POTS, Orthostatic Hypotension, ME/CFS, Long COVID). We are looking for people who are passionate about helping a deeply underserved patient population live their best lives.
We are seeking an experienced Production Operator to join our team on the pilot production line for a cutting-edge consumer electronics wearable device. The ideal candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the assembly and test activities, ensuring that each product meets our rigorous quality standards. Applicants should possess a solid background in the assembly and testing of microelectronics systems, as well as a familiarity with electromechanical medical devices. Proficiency in electronics soldering and command line test script operation is essential. The role demands a detail-oriented individual capable of managing production orders and collaborating effectively with both manufacturing and R&D engineers to streamline production processes and enhance product quality. This position offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of wearable technology innovation within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
As the Production Technician on this tight-knit team, you will be responsible for supporting all production activities including the assembly and testing of electronics and mechanical assemblies, SOP compliance and improvement, packaging assembly, and shipping logistics. You will manage all production equipment and inventory, and be proficient at using a broad range of equipment such as soldering stations, power supplies, data acquisition systems, bar code systems, and various lab computer systems. You will work closely with manufacturing and R&D engineers to identify and correct production and quality issues, and be a key participant in production change orders.
List of responsibilities:
● Collaborate in the creation and optimization of SOPs for production
● Lead the effort to assemble, test, and ship customer orders
● Manage, maintain, and become an expert in the use of all production equipment
● Ensure the production inventory, tools, and materials are properly stocked to ensure smooth production without interruptions
● Create and/or maintain documents and records related to production equipment use and maintenance
● Work with engineers to collect and analyze data, identify and resolve production process and quality issues
● Prepare periodic and ad hoc reports as needed
Qualifications
● Minimum of two-year certificate program in STEM field
● Strong understanding of core scientific principles and experimental methodology
● Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
● Superior organizational and time management skills
● Capable of working independently with minimal supervision, but also as part of a team
● Experience with electronics soldering
● Experience with Microsoft Excel or Google Docs
● Experience with Matlab is a plus
Compensation & Benefits
● Opportunity to dedicate your effort to some of the most impactful work of your life, serving a deeply underserved community with novel cutting-edge technology.
● Opportunity to sharpen your skills in low power microelectronics, biometric wearable technology, consumer and medical device systems, integration with cloud infrastructure and a mobile app front end, and engineering team and customer support. Opportunity to take meaningful ownership, make an outsized impact, and help shape the team/culture as we rapidly grow.
● Opportunity to acquire an equity stake with huge upside potential. Founders have a proven track record, so the equity matters here. While we intentionally encourage everyone on the team to have “skin in the game” and take less upfront in the form of tax-inefficient salaries, we provide employees the ability to dial in their salary/equity tradeoff to arrive at a compensation package that matches their personal risk-reward appetite. We are looking for A-players who are energized by joining a team of other
A-players and having compensation tied to their collective outperformance.
● We cherish our weekly Pastry Fridays, and make it a point to enjoy the ride alongside each other throughout the journey.
