Oak Ridge Weekday School, a non-profit, faith-based childcare center, is hiring an older 3's teacher from 12:30pm-5:30pm. We believe children learn through play and develop our curriculum around fun and engaging play-based experiences. We also realize the importance of Kindergarten readiness and developing the whole child by supporting their social, emotional, physical and cognitive growth.
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic teacher to plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities in all developmental domains. This individual must have a love for working with children and be a team player with a positive upbeat attitude and positive behavior management skills.
You could potentially work more hours in the morning as a substitute.
Responsibilities Include:
- Supervising and meeting the daily care needs of a group of 10 children.
- Observing all rules and regulations of the local and or state regulatory agencies pertaining to the health, safety and care of children.
- Assessing each child's developmental needs on an ongoing basis.
- Creating and implementing a weekly lesson plan using our school curriculum.
- Attending all required staff meetings, workshops and/or school functions.
- Maintaining overall professional personal appearance.
- Complete daily meal count sheet for food program and attendance.
- Great communication skills to communicate with the families we serve.
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. for potential emergency situations.
Desired Experience and Education:
- Previous experience in a licensed early childhood program
- Early Childhood Credentials preferred
- Willing to take Early Childhood Education college courses

Pay: $11.00 - $15.00 per hour
