Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a variety of vehicles, including roll off trucks, rear loader trucks, front loader trucks, flatbeds, and other commercial vehicles.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and functionality.
- Ability to utilize (or learn) an electronic device and application.
- Maneuver various sizes and weights of solid waste and recycling materials.
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
- Maintain accurate records of service requests, commercial vehicle inspection reports, mileage, fuel usage, and other relevant information.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members to coordinate daily shift requirements.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record--CDL & non-CDL.
- Commercial driver's license (CDL) may be required depending on the type of vehicle being operated.
- Experience operating various types of vehicles, including those with manual transmissions.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical labor as required.
- Ability to use (or learn) mechanical systems and ability to perform basic maintenance tasks on vehicles.
- Efficient time management skills and ability to meet route & shift deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
