We are looking for a Physical Therapy Assistant to join our medical practice full time or part time in Miramar, FL. We are looking for a Physical Therapy Assistant, who enjoys working with patients and collaborating with colleagues to provide top quality patient care in our integrated physical medicine practice. We have a diverse staff of a variety of health professionals, and we need a PTA to provide excellent, friendly patient care and assistance. Essential duties and responsibilities for the PTA include promoting optimal patient health by providing physical therapy services under the supervision of a physical therapist. Must maintain a positive attitude and contribute towards a quality work environment.

We perform physical exams and scans, assessments, and treatments for short- and long-term pain. When conservative care fails, we have state-of-the-art solutions tailored for their condition. Patient satisfaction is our highest priority! Our mission is to deliver the best orthopedic and interventional pain management experience by providing comfort, education, and service.
Duties:

Maintain back-office inventory and notify management when it’s time to re-order supplies.
Ensure a consistent flow of patients.
Always maintain the back office neat and clean.
Assist with cleaning/prepping all tables/chairs after every patient, pick up laundry, and remove garbage
Maintain/fill/clean hydrocollator.
Contributes to physical therapist's effectiveness by identifying patient care issues; recommending options and courses of action; implementing physical therapy directives.
Assesses patient health by interviewing patients; performing physical examinations; obtaining, updating, and studying therapy histories.
Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
Performs therapeutic procedures by administering manual exercises; instructing, encouraging, and assisting patients in performing physical activities, such as non-manual exercises, ambulatory functional activities, and daily-living activities; and in using supportive devices, such as crutches, canes, and prostheses.
Instructs and counsels patients by describing therapeutic regimens; giving normal growth and development information; promoting wellness and health maintenance.
Provides continuity of care by developing and implementing patient management plans.
Maintains safe and clean working environment, adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.

Requirements:

Certified Physical Therapy Assistant preferred.
Minimum of (0-1) year (s) of related (PTA) experience and/or training in a physician practice or hospital setting.
Must be a licensed PTA in FL

Salary:

$$65k-$75k per year (DOE)
