Core Responsibilities
The Human Resources Generalist position supports the Human Resources Plant Manager in all aspects of HR including, but not limited to, the development, implementation, maintenance, and monitoring of 6 major areas:
Employee relations
-
Administer disciplinary action against employees who violate rules and regulations.

Investigate concerns and complaints brought forth by employees and management.

Address associates inquires and promotes a positive work environment.

Assist employees and management with questions, requests, and concerns.

Provide support for annual reviews and submit compensation increases.
Record Keeping and Employee Files
-
Maintaining accurate physical files for employees, including documents, benefits, and attendance records.
Payroll administration
-
Provide support to Managers and Supervisors with payroll timecards and Employee PHI records.
- Maintain HRIS (Human Resources Information System) records and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
Safety program
-
Enforce safety rules and regulations.

Responsible for plant secured entries by administering, updating, and terminating Key fobs.

Partner with ESH and provide support to employees with questions related to injuries.
Employee health and welfare benefits

Assist the Benefits and Total Rewards department and management with annual open enrollment.
- Support employees with benefit and 401(k) inquiries.
Other Responsibilities
-
Must be willing to work 2nd shift schedule as their regular schedule 3pm-11:30pm, Monday through Friday

Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings.

Maintains the staff distribution and updates the headcount data weekly.

Maintains Human Resource Information System records and compiles reports from database.

Assist employees with the employee HRIS self-service program and promote the usage of all self-service programs and applications.

Work together with plant management to achieve efficient production and employee satisfaction.

Relay information, questions, and requests to the proper channels, and if needed, retrieve and distribute the responses appropriately.

Assumes other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Job Qualifications:
- Must have a minimum of a bachelor's degree and depending on the level (2) to five (7) years of Human Resources experience as a Human Resource Generalist, as a Coordinator, or the equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Human Resources Generalist Levels based on experience and expertise:

Level I: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in an HR Generalist role or HR Coordinator role.

Level II: Minimum of 3-5 years of direct experience in an HR Generalist role, a Level II HR Generalist must have the ability to exercise solid judgment when determining when to elevate employee relations issues to the HR Plan Manger. HR Generalist II must be detail oriented and accurate in all functions.

Level III: Minimum of 5-7 years of direct experience in an HR Generalist role with a SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification.

Strong computer skills (MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel and HRIS system).

Bilingual in conversational Spanish is preferred but not required.
