SSU is a strategically focused, innovative organization that provides world class services and customizable modular structures to include ICD 705 compliant SCIFs across the globe to meet our customers’ unique requirements and critical objectives. Our modular structures are custom with past projects ranging from 24 square feet to just under 13,000 square feet (two-story structure). Our structures are designed for outdoor harsh environmental conditions as well as for applications inside of existing buildings, warehouses, conference rooms or office space. SSU’s Construction Department is currently recruiting a Construction Project Manager. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of successful program management in the construction industry, demonstrating strong leadership, strategic planning, and execution skills. They should have a comprehensive understanding of construction processes, project management methodologies, and regulatory requirements. The candidate should excel in fostering collaboration among cross-functional teams, ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of projects while maintaining a commitment to quality and safety. Additionally, we seek an individual who is adept at client relationship management, adept at problem-solving, and dedicated to driving continuous improvement within the construction program.
Location: Fayetteville, NC
Security Clearance: current Security Clearance or the ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive program plans aligned with organizational goals and construction industry best practices.
- Define project scopes, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with client expectations and contractual obligations.
- Provide effective leadership to construction project teams, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
- Cultivate strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and efficient coordination.
- Oversee the execution of construction projects within the program, ensuring adherence to timelines, budget constraints, and quality standards.
- Implement effective project management methodologies to drive successful project completion.
- Manage program budgets, monitoring expenditures, and ensuring financial accountability.
- Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to track and report on budgetary aspects of the construction program.
- Implement and maintain stringent quality assurance processes to uphold construction industry standards. .
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety awareness within the construction program.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the construction program, identifying opportunities for enhanced efficiency and effectiveness.
Required Professional Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in program management within the construction industry, with a track record of successful project delivery.
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, methodologies, and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to effectively lead and inspire cross-functional teams.
- Strong strategic planning and execution capabilities, with a focus on achieving program objectives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience in client relationship management, ensuring client satisfaction and addressing concerns promptly.
- Budget management expertise, including monitoring expenditures and financial accountability.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software, with a particular emphasis on Smartsheet.
- Ability to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring successful program outcomes.
- Commitment to quality assurance and safety compliance within the construction program.
- Continuous improvement mindset, with a proactive approach to refining program management processes.
