Job Overview:

To $24.00 per hour plus: Medical insurance, paid vacation, paid holidays, 401(k) w/match.

Summer months will be hotter as you work inside the warehouse with, no air conditioning, wearing full protective gear: googles, gloves, protective suit, respirator. Frequent breaks for water/rest is provided.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Manufacturing Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining manufacturing equipment to produce high-quality products efficiently.

Minimum Qualifications

Prefer high school graduate or equivalent in experience

Forklift experience (sitting)

Able to lift and carry a 55-pound bag up to four feet

Excellent attention to detail

Able/knowledge and or fast learner to operate industrial equipment

Ability to work in a safe manner and follow safety policies/procedures

Attention to detail

Good knowledge of industrial equipment

Able to write, read and speak in English

Excellent references

Attend work on a regular and consistent basis

Able and willing to work all hours as required by business necessity

Prefer some knowledge of OSHA safety standards.

Able and willing to complete other work as assigned

Essential Functions of the job

Completion of safety training and adherence to all safety protocols, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (surgical masks, goggles, overalls, and boots) while operating the equipment.

Completion of the forklift certification course.

Drives forklift(s) in moving product from one part of the warehouse to other locations.

Will operate a machine and produce chemical products in compliance with the operating manual and all safety requirements.

Will fill the machine with the appropriate raw material that is used to produce the chemical products.

Will handle/store all chemicals and raw materials in a safe manner.

All chemical product is inspected to assure quality.

Will ensure that product is placed into “Super Sack” bags (about 2000 pounds in a bag), labeled correctly with lot number(s), correctly placed on pallets, and move the product via forklift to the staging area(s).

Will tag the super bags.

Clean the machinery according to standard operating procedures.

Clean 160 buckets via a shop vacuum and/or a water spray then wipe down the buckets. This is completed at the end of the work shift.

Will attend work on a regular and consistent basis.

Will perform other duties as assigned.

Able and willing to work all hours as required by business necessity

Essential Physical Requirements

Safely lift to 55 pounds.

Carry a bag weighing up to 55 pounds a distance of approximately 4 feet.

Walk to various parts of the warehouse.

Drive a forklift.

Use of both hands in handling products.

Eye and hand coordination in the operation of machinery.

Able to speak, write, hear, and understand English.

Work while wearing personal protective equipment.

Essential Mental Requirements

Able to learn and follow all safety policies and procedures.

Attention to detail in determining correct amount of raw material is used in the production of product.

Able to follow directions.

Ability to exercise independent judgment.

Self-directing and organized.

Ability to reason objectively.

Ability to document accurately and timely.

Ability to learn and fulfill a variety of duties.

Essential Sensory Requirements

Ability to communicate effectively (hear, listen, speak) with team members, supervisor, and others.

Ability to smell, such as burning material, to determine dangerous conditions.

Work Environment/Hazards

Approximately from April to September work in doors, in hot and humid conditions while wearing full personal protective equipment.

Potential exposure to hazardous materials.

Potential exposure to machinery with moving parts.

Employees must comply with all safety policies and procedures to 100% prevent injury from any and all hazards.
