This position is full time. Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8am - 5pm PST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

We offer 1 week(s) of paid training. The hours during training will be 8am - 5pm PST, Monday - Friday. Training will be conducted virtually from your home.

All Telecommuters will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group’s Telecommuter Policy.

Primary Responsibilities :

Provide exceptional service to our patients
Arrange post discharge appointment within 7day protocol
Responsible in creating authorization within 7day protocol ensure proper patient detail is entered
Be able to work in a fast past environment with multiple duties on multiple software
Be able to identify work priority while staying organized for prompts response in timely matter
Consistently exhibits behaviors and communication skills that demonstrate Optum commitment to superior patient service, including quality, care and concern with and every internal and external patient
Performs high level critical thinking for redirecting phone calls, auths ,and other issues that might arise
Following departmental process and procedures
Identify opportunities for process improvement
Self-sufficient virtual environment
Meets and exceeds productivity targets
Uses, protect, and discloses Optum patient protected health information only in accordance with HIPPA standards
Team player
Perform other duties assigned

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma / GED
Must 18 years of age older
1+ years customer service experience
Ability to work full time. Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8am - 5pm PST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

Preferred Qualifications:

1+ years call center experience
Experience with Microsoft Excel
Microsoft Teams
Semi Knowledgeable in ICD-10 code
Semi Knowledgeable in CPT code

Telecommuting Requirements:

Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy.
Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service.
