Full Job Description

Romtec, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and organized Logistics Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will lead the daily operations of our shipping and receiving functions, ensuring efficient and accurate handling of all inventory and shipments. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. This role is vital to ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

· Shipping & Receiving

o Coordinate and oversee the loading and unloading of shipments.

o Verify accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments and documentation.

o Inspect shipments for damage and report discrepancies.

o Load and unload trucks using a forklift or other equipment as needed.

o Organize and store received goods in designated areas.

· Inventory Management

o Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, shipments and deliveries.

o Organize and manage inventory storage areas.

o Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.

· Communication and Coordination

o Liaise with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.

o Communicate effectively with external drivers and vendors, including those who may not speak English.

o Schedule and coordinate pickups and deliveries.

· Computer Skills

o Microsoft programs

o Utilize inventory management software to track and manage stock levels.

o Update shipping and receiving logs and databases.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

It is critical that the candidate have the following:

2-year Associate’s Degree.
Proven experience as a Logistics Coordinator or in a similar role.
Proficiency in operating a forklift with preference given to certification.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with individuals of all backgrounds.
Strong computer skills, including experience with inventory management software.
Ability to maintain working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Must be able to pass a preemployment physical screening
