Job Description Summary:
As a member of the Enterprise Solutions Leadership Team, this position provides leadership, management, financial accountability, compliance, strategic planning, and directional oversight to the Partnership and Events team. This position is directly responsible for establishing and achieving Revenue and Margin goals for Enterprise Solutions by leveraging non-government partnerships and events. This position establishes 3-year plans to ensure that we have partnerships and events in place to meet Enterprise Solutions’ growth goals.
Job Description:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Assume responsibility for achieving P&L (Revenue and Margin) and other goals to support Enterprise Solutions.
Direct activities of assigned Directors and Associate Directors to achieve the P&L and other goals for assigned areas of responsibility.
Lead the development of 3-year plans to leverage partnerships and events to drive Revenue and Margin by leading collaboration with Core Solution teams and other key stakeholders.
Lead the process of developing annual plans and initiatives to leverage partnerships to support the growth of Cooperative Purchasing and other solutions in collaboration with core teams and other key stakeholders.
Support and participate in annual organizational planning as requested.
Lead the development of Revenue and Margin (expense) budgets for the Partnership and Events team and assign Revenue, Margin, and other goals within your team. Ensure that budgets are revised and updated as necessary.
Manage the cost centers for the entire team to maximize Revenue and Margin.
Collaborate with other teams to ensure that these areas budget appropriately to leverage partnerships and events to drive Revenue and Margin goals for Cooperative Purchasing and other programs.
2. Direct the activities of the Partnership and Events team.
Provide leadership to the Partnership and Events team to ensure that this team operates effectively within Sourcewell, supports our overall mission, and applies our values in all interactions.
Lead assigned Directors and Associate Directors by delegating authority to these leaders to operate and manage their teams while providing oversight to ensure that these teams operate according to the Cooperative Purchasing Program Document, other solution Program documents, and comply with all compliance and regulatory requirements.
Develop partner plans and other processes to develop and maintain strong relationships with non-public partners, to ensure that partnership agreements are honored, and that Sourcewell is the preferred partner for these organizations.
Develop event strategies in collaboration with the Marketing Event team to support Enterprise Solutions and develop processes to ensure that events are executed effectively, achieve stated goals, and stay within budgets.
Develop processes to ensure the Partnership and Events team works collaboratively with the Cooperative Purchasing, Other Solutions, Government Accounts, and Marketing teams.
Develop and execute on established 3-year plans for prospecting for new partners and events to support future growth of existing audiences and expansion into new audiences in collaboration with Core Solution teams and other stakeholders.
Leverage Voice of Customer data, SMEs, and other sources of insight to predict industry trends, develop new tools, and anticipate competitor responses.
Develop training programs to ensure that the Partnership and Event teams follow best practices for managing and executing on events and partnerships.
3. Direct the establishment of strategic, non-public partnerships or outside consulting engagements.
Establish policies and procedures for the Partnership and Events team to identify needs for strategic partnerships or outside consulting support.
Identify, engage, and negotiate with strategic partners or outside consultants to provide the greatest value to Sourcewell.
Collaborate with Legal to develop standardized agreements to engage with strategic partners or outside consultants.
4. Direct the overall management of Partnership and Events team members.
Supervise, develop, train, and mentor assigned staff and ensure that they effectively manage and supervise their assigned staff.
Provide strategic direction and actionable goals to ensure that the entire team understands how their performance impacts department, division and organizational strategies and goals.
Work with internal leadership team to determine staffing needs and ensure that the Partnership and Events team has appropriate headcount to support growth plans.

5. Represent Sourcewell, Partnership and Events, Cooperative Purchasing, and other Solutions.
Represent Partnership and Events at internal events, board meetings and retreats.
Represent Sourcewell at civic and social functions by attending local, regional, state, and national meetings, and conferences.
Attend and present at conferences, trade shows, and other public events.
6. Other related areas and duties as assigned.
Additional Job Description:
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study AND Seven (7) years of demonstrated experience in partnership management, events management, sales management, P&L management. business development, account management, client relations/development, or other directly related experience OR
A combination of post-secondary training, professional education, and related experience equivalent to eleven (11) years
Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems
Public speaking and presentation experience
Budget design and management experience
Five (5) years demonstrated supervisory/leadership experience
Experience in strategic planning
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in related field of study
Ten (10) years of demonstrated experience in sales management, P&L management, business development, account management, client relations/development, or other directly related experience
Seven (7) years of partnership management experience
Five (5) years of event management experience
Seven (7) years of demonstrated supervisory/leadership experience
Experience working with both private and public sector entities

Salary Range:
Grade 19, exempt, $135,689.69 - $189,965.58, commensurate with experience.
