Senior Commercial HVAC Installer (Houston)
RNA Mechanical is based in Houston and provides commercial HVAC installation in Texas, Louisiana and South US. We specialize in installing and designing HVAC systems and indoor air quality control for industrial commercial, new construction buildings, office buildings, retail centers and restaurants.
We have seen rapid growth and are currently hiring Senior Commercial HVAC Installers. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Commercial Installer to join our dynamic team. This role involves technical commercial HVAC installation knowledge and start up (2 – +30 ton units), extensive travel, overnight stays during the week, ability to read plans and on-site project management responsibilities.
Responsibilities include:
1. Project Management:
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee commercial HVAC installation projects from start to finish.
- Develop project timelines, allocate resources, and ensure adherence to budgets.
- Coordinate labor, equipment, and materials to optimize project efficiency.
2. Leadership:
- Lead and manage a crew of installers, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality work.
- Foster a collaborative and positive team environment.
3. Onsite Installation:
- Perform hands-on installation tasks, demonstrating a strong technical expertise.
- Responsible to ensure QA/QC inspections to ensure installations are according to mechanical plans and industry standards.
4. Travel and Logistics:
- Travel to project sites as required, staying overnight during the week as needed.
- Coordinate travel logistics, including accommodations, transportation, and equipment.
- Ability to source local vendors and rental equipment.
5. Client Relations:
- Communicate effectively with clients, addressing concerns, providing project updates, and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Represent the company professionally on-site.
- Attend weekly meetings in person or via Teams/Zoom.
6. Documentation:
- Maintain detailed project documentation, including progress reports, changes to plans, and any challenges encountered.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
7. Safety Compliance:
- Prioritize and enforce safety standards, conducting regular safety meetings and inspections.
- OSHA certifications and responsible for adherence to all safety standards, governmental standards and company protocols / safety manual.
Qualifications:
1. Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- HVAC certification or relevant technical education preferred.
2. Experience:
- Proven experience as a lead installer in commercial HVAC projects.
- Previous experience in a project management or supervisory role.
3. Skills:
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Technical Proficiency:
- In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems and installation procedures.
- Ability to troubleshoot and address technical issues on-site.
5. Flexibility:
- Willingness to travel extensively and stay overnight during the week.
- Adaptability to changing project requirements.
**Must have DRIVER'S LICENSE AND GOOD DRIVING RECORD
**Must have CLEAN BACKGROUND RECORD
**Must be State Registered & EPA certified, OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certifications a big plus
