The Southern Arizona Arts & Cultural Alliance is a dynamic nonprofit organization dedicated to creating, preserving, and advancing the arts. As we embark on an exciting journey to rebrand and reposition our organization, we seek a talented and experienced professional to lead our marketing and creative efforts. This role is critical as we expand our impact and programming statewide.
Role Overview:
As the Creative Content, Marketing, and Events Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our organization's rebranding and repositioning. You will support all aspects of social media, print marketing, graphic design, and creative content development for our organization, ensuring a cohesive and compelling brand presence across all platforms. Your creativity, strategic vision, and hands-on approach will drive our mission forward and engage our diverse audiences.
This role enhances the organization’s online presence and engages with a broad audience to further our mission. The ideal candidate will be passionate about social causes and possess the creativity and technical skills to tell our story effectively.
This role will also support the event and program execution portion of the organization's work. This role requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual who can manage complex events from start to finish. The ideal candidate will be passionate about the nonprofit sector and have a proven track record of executing successful events that advance an organization’s mission.
You will bring a meticulous eye for detail and a flair for creativity to ensure our events are memorable and impactful. Your ability to leverage various technology platforms will be crucial in managing logistics, promoting events, and enhancing the overall attendee experience.
Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English, along with strong Spanish speaking and writing skills, is preferred but not required for the position.
The position ranges from $25-$28/hourly based on experience
Strategic Rebrand and Positioning
o Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute a comprehensive rebrand strategy that aligns with the organization's mission and goals.
o Conduct market research and audience analysis to inform branding decisions and ensure relevance and impact.
o Lead the creation of a new brand identity, including logo, visual elements, messaging, and tone.
Content Creation and Management
- Develop, write, and edit engaging and high-quality content for various platforms, including blog posts, newsletters, website updates, and social media.
- Ensure all content aligns with the organization’s mission, values, and strategic goals.
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to gather relevant information and stories for content development.
- Manage a content calendar to plan and schedule posts and updates in advance.
- Update, design and manage the organization's website, calendar listings and web plug ins.
Social Media Strategy and Execution
- Create and implement a comprehensive social media strategy to increase brand awareness and engagement.
- Manage and grow the organization’s social media presence on platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and others.
- Monitor and respond to social media interactions in a timely and professional manner.
- Analyze social media metrics and adjust strategies to improve performance and reach.
Community Engagement
- Foster and maintain relationships with online communities, supporters, and partners.
- Develop and execute campaigns to engage supporters and encourage participation in events and initiatives.
- Collaborate with volunteers, partners, and influencers to amplify the organization’s message and reach.
Graphic Design and Multimedia
- Design visually appealing graphics, infographics, and videos to enhance content and social media posts, in partnership with contracted and sponsored photographers, videographers and media contacts.
- Utilize tools like Canva, Hootsuite, Constant Contact, Weebly Web Design programs, AI generative content platforms, and other creative platforms for content creation.
- Provide and implement solutions for streamlining content generation.
SEO and Web Analytics
- Optimize content for search engines to increase organic traffic to the website.
- Use web analytics tools to monitor website performance and user engagement, and provide regular reports.
Fundraising and Campaign Support
- Support fundraising campaigns by creating compelling content and social media posts.
Budgeting and Financial Oversight
- Create and manage event marketing and outreach budgets, ensuring all expenses are tracked and staying within marketing budget constraints while recommending budgetary investments in social and marketing outreach.
Event Promotion
- Develop promotional materials and social media campaigns for events and initiatives.
- Create and post content during events as needed to increase real-time engagement.
- Develop mutual benefit partnerships and relationships with local media outlets, including print, radio, television, and other community-specific newsletters and community and neighborhood associations.
Marketing and Promotion
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional strategies and materials for events.
- Utilize social media, email marketing, and other channels to promote events and increase attendance.
- Design and distribute event invitations, flyers, and other promotional materials.
Event Planning and Coordination
- High level of pre-event management with diligent attention paid to event details, databases, planning, and execution, including timelines, budgets, logistics, and vendor coordination.
- Participate with the team onsite inspections and select appropriate venues for events.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure alignment with the organization’s mission and goals.
- Provide support to project and program leads with editing, database management, and project execution.
Event Registration and Attendee Management
- Oversee the registration process, including creating and managing online registration forms in partnership with project and event leads.
- Coordinate and support with on-site event leads to provide assistance in registration and check-in processes to ensure a smooth and welcoming experience for attendees.
Evaluation and Reporting
- Conduct post-event evaluations to assess success and areas for improvement in social and marketing outreach.
- Collect and analyze feedback from attendees, volunteers, and team members.
- Prepare comprehensive event reports and present findings to senior management for all aspects of community outreach and program marketing initiatives.
Qualifications:

- Experience with SEO and web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).

- Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree and/or commensurate experience in previous Marketing Event Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in event planning and management, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
